Follow these steps to sync Wunderlist to the Sunrise iOS app in your iPhone or in Macbook.

First, follow this Wunderlist help page to sync your Wunderlist tasks to your Google Calendar.
https://support.wunderlist.com/customer/portal/articles/1710196-how-to-show-wunderlist-tasks-in-google-calendar-ical-or-outlook

Once you have completed that, test it and see if you can view your Wunderlist updates in Google Calendar.

Save YouTube Videos Super Easily! No Plugin Needed. (pwnyoutube bookmarklet)

I've been using many sites and plugins to download YouTube videos. The easiest way to do this would be to add "pwn" in front of the YouTube URL. Then, you can click on any of the services listed to download the video. I prefer to use 9xbuddy.

I have made it even easier for you! Just drag this YouTube Download link to the bookmark area of your browser. That's it!
Now, whenever you watch a YouTube video and want to download it, click this bookmark and you will be taken to the deturl or pwnyoutube YouTube video download page. Then, you can click the service of your choice to download the video.

Have fun!

Fixed : "2 Items Selected" error and Yellow Exclamation Icon while trying to submit Taleo Online Job Application

Sometimes, when you try to submit an online job application powered by Taleo, you will see this weird error that just says "2 Items selected". The number might be different in your case. This error drove me crazy with frustration and I thought all the details I entered would be gone forever.

The problem is that, it is not sufficient to enter the employer country, but you should click the "Search" link next to it and choose from the options given. In my case, there were 2 locations with similar names and hence the error "2 Items selected"!! Also, since I had many such text boxes filled in, I couldn't even click the Search link as it wouldn't let me leave the page because of the errors in the other text boxes.

So, if the country you specified is not clear to the application, it would not let you continue or even SAVE the form. It would not even let you correct the errors one by one!! Not a brilliant job by the Quality Assurance team!

So, how to fix this mess? Delete the entries one by one. Remove all those job experiences you filled in carefully and start from Job 1, making sure to click the Search button after filling in the country name. You could also try deleting just the contents of the field Country. Didn't work for me though.

If this helped you, please leave a comment.
Cheers :)

Solved!: Someone liked my facebook page but I can't see him/her in the "likes" list

Problem: Someone liked my facebook page but I can't see him/her in the "likes" list. What is happening?

This happened to me many times and I went crazy. I even thought a friend was lying to me when she kept saying she "liked" my page, but I couldn't see her on the list when I clicked "See all likes".
She : "I unliked and liked again. Check now."
Me (after checking the likes list and not finding her there) : "Nice try! :/ I'm not forcing you to. If you dont like my page, dont "like" it. Simple. "
Then she sent me a screenshot that clearly showed that she had indeed liked my fb page.

If you are facing the same problem, here is what's happening. If the person who liked your page has not made his/her page likes public in their privacy settings, you won't be able to see him/her on your page "likes" list. i.e, If they have set their privacy level high for their page likes visibility, they will not show up on your list of people who have liked your facebook page.

This is rather stupid because, people might misunderstand each other, business page admins cannot send discounts to all their page followers, people can easily join a page and secretly monitor the activities without being noticed, etc etc.

What's your take on this problem? Leave a comment below.

Hadoop Error - WordCount : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0

Check out the error below. If you are getting a similar error while running a Java jar file on hadoop sandbox, the probable cause is that you compiled your code with a version of Java that's newer than the one running in the hadoop machine. So, recompile your code with a compatible jdk version and try again.

Comment below if this fixed your problem. Also let me know if it didn't or if you found a different solution. Thanks.

Sync Failed: Change the Evernote (Desktop) Password

So, you have changed your password for Evernote after the security issue. Now you are unable to sync the desktop Evernote application with the cloud servers. The error message displayed would be "Sync Failed". Here's how to start syncing again.

  1. Open Evernote desktop application (tested in Windows only, but Mac version should be similar).
  2. Goto Tools>Account Info. In the dialog box, your current username will be highlighted in blue.
  3. Click the blue username (which is a link), and type in your new password in the dialog box that pops in.
  4. Click the Sync button to start syncing again.

That's it! Enjoy!
