The easiest way to save flash and embedded files with Firefox

Hi there!

I've searched for download tools and addons to download all those cool flash stuff and youtube videos.

Here's what I've learned so far. The tips are based on Firefox.

Best way to download youtube videos - Download helper addon for firefox. Ya, I know there are youtube downloaders and youtube video download sites. But ever tried downloading a flagged video? Ya, those 18+ videos. Try and you wouldnt be able to. So what you should do?
Go here - http://www.downloadhelper.net/install.php. And install the addon. Restart firefox.
Now whenever you visit youtube (or hundreds of other supported sites) and play a vid, the icon of Download helper will animate.
Click the arrow on it to get a list of media files available to download. Select .flv and give the download location.
You are done!

Now about downloading flash files embedded in sites (or in my case, embedded in my scrapbook). Say, you want to download a cool banner or ad or animation. Wait for the page to load completely. Then goto Tools>Page Info. Click the tab Media. From the list, select the file u r looking for (if it's flash, check for file with extension .swf), click Save As... and give the download location.

That was easy, right? :)
Cheers

Update : Sothink SWF Catcher is also good for downloading Youtube videos and other flash stuff. Get it here - http://www.sothink.com/product/swfcatcher/firefox/
